A weekend up north!

Two weekends ago we hopped on a plane and headed to Chicago to visit the Klisch's and their new town. We were fortunate to have a domestic ticket we needed to use up, and Chicago was super easy to get to for just a weekend!  We had so much fun visiting with the Klisch's!  On Saturday we all headed into the city for lunch, then we split up for the girls to get a little shopping done with the guys went to the carshow at McCormick Place.  It was so much fun to spend an entire weekend with them!  Even though they live farther away now, we have the fun excuse to invade their house for a whole weekend instead of a few hours.  I'm pretty sure that will be the first of many trips up that way!

We were too busy having fun to take too many pictures of all of us (though we did take some other pics.....more on that later this week....).  However, here's a pic of their super cute new house!

Been a little busy....

Apologies for being quite horrible at updating the blog lately.  We've been quite busy around here.  Back in January I had what we call "Conference" for two weeks.  It's basically two weeks of training for all the whole Corporate Audit department (international folks included).  It was tons of fun, and very informative, but all the social activities left me pretty worn out.  Here are some pics of the outfits Bryan and I dressed up in.  The theme was "CAD concert" so you were supposed to dress up as an artist, but we opted to dress up as groupies.  I thought Bryan's outfit was hil.a.rious. (If you can't see it, or don't know who they are - Bryan's shirt is a Jonas Brothers t-shirt.  The 13 year-old ladies area all about them.  We found the shirt in the kids section of Goodwill.  The shoes are also a Goodwill purchase.  Pretty fantastic if you ask me.)  Please excuse the iPhone pics...not the best quality - but you get the point.

We also went up to the mountains for Kris' birthday! It was of course a blast. :)  We enjoyed a nice hike, went to a few wineries and had a delicious cookout.  Thanks for being born, Kris!

Since then we have been thoroughly enjoying ourselves with lots of friend time and we have a few projects up our sleeves.  We'll share soon - don't worry (and no, we are not pregnant - so don't go getting any ideas).  I've also been cooking up lots of new meals thanks to great meal ideas from Pinterest.
