25 & 26 weeks
25 weeks was an exciting one as it is the supposed point of viability for the baby!!! Not that he would be born without complications - far from it. But, if he was born at 25 weeks, there would be a chance that with tons of support he could survive. This mom breathed a sigh of relief when I read that news! The baby is growing right along - as am I. Around the end of the 26th week I definitely started to notice a bit more of the general discomfort feeling I've been hearing is so prevalent in the third trimester. Nothing to complain about just yet, but I certainly wouldn't say I forget I'm pregnant now. I feel huge most of the time and sleeping is certainly becoming more needed and more elusive. Isn't that lovely how those two come at the same time!
Most excited about: My first shower this weekend!!! Amy, Jerene, Kris, Susan, and Candice are hosting babywagon's first shower this weekend and I am so excited for it! I can't wait to be around so many of our friends and family!
Things that aren't fun when you're pregnant: Getting sick. I got another cold last week (the end of week 26) and missed four days of work. Not cool. I still have some congestion, but I'm at least back to work now.
Biggest decision made: We had dinner with some friends and actually kind of stumbled across the idea that we could share a nanny! They had been actively looking for a family to share with, and we hadn't really entertained the thought at all. I had certainly heard of nanny shares, but didn't feel it was a good option for us b/c the kids should be close in age, you have to live close to each other, etc, and I never thought of anyone who fit all of those parameters. Well, low and behold, our friends who live two blocks away fit the bill perfectly!! Their little boy will be two months older than ours, and she's taking two more months of maternity leave than I am so we'll be going back to work at almost the exact same time. Pretty perfect! So Babywagon and little Jake will get to be best friends! We're very excited about this arrangement. :)
