My own little "sabbatical"
Before Bryan started work full-time in January of 2009, he had 5 full months (after taking the Bar) of what he now calls his "sabbatical". Fast-forward a year and a half, and I seem to have found myself in my own little mini-sabbatical (aka the two weeks between my old job and my new job - more on that later). I had so many dreams of lounging around and watching trashy TV all day, yet still getting the 15 projects on my list of "ways I want to improve our house" done. Clearly I was delusional.
Today I realized that all of my projects will likely not get done, and the most important things for me to do while I'm off are to: 1) rest and 2) finish what I start so that I don't end up stressed about unfinished projects when I start work on the 29th. Therefore I have decided to make a master list, and in order to keep myself accountable I am going to publish it here for all to see (have I mentioned that I haven't actually told anyone I'm blogging yet....how's that for accountability HA). Anyway, here goes nothing.
My "sabbatical" to-do list:
1. Finish the bedroom remodel (fix the hole I made in the wall today - oops, make the headboard and pillows, and decorate the dresser).
2. Clean out/organize our master bedroom closet...yikes
3. Get the guest bedroom in some sort of order
4. Visit my grandmother (don't judge me - this list isn't in order)
5. Go see Amy in Birmingham
6. Finish designing this blog and actually share the link with a select few
7. If I have time, I'm going to clean out the hall closet - highly unlikely though
I think that's plenty to keep me busy for the next week and a half. Oh, and we're headed to the lake this weekend as well. How is it that I am always finding myself busy even when it should be "free-time"? Oh well, I guess I am now officially a Stillwagon.
Oh, you soooo have an accountability partner now :) If only I could keep up my own blog, ha.
