Hello from L.A.!
That's Los Angeles for those keeping score at home - not Lower Alabama (thank goodness)! I arrived here for work late Sunday night, and have spent the last two days getting acclimated to the west coast and getting my first experience auditing a bottler. So far things are going great! :) Before I get to all of that though, let me give you a weekend update:
Friday was a flex-day Friday. Thank goodness b/c I had about a million and one things to do before I left for L.A. I spent the day running errands, stocking the refrigerator for Bryan, making shoe bags (I'll post a little how-to later), and packing for LA. Friday night we headed up to Habersham to spend the weekend at the mountain house with Bryan's parents. Saturday we went to the Taste of Clarkesville, a friend's wedding (just Bryan and me), and then to The Attic for dinner. The Taste of Clarkesville was tons of fun, and there were so many good restaurants there! :) Sunday we headed back to Atlanta in a flurry so I could hope on a plane to LA. My amazing hubby took me out for Mexican and margaritas (he knew it would settle my flying solo jitters) before he dropped me off at the airport. Many thanks for a great send off hubby! Here are a few pics from the weekend.
As for LA, I'm having a blast so far. We're staying in a nice hotel (The Westin downtown), which has a knock-out breakfast in the mornings (mmm mmm good), and the plant we're at is really impressive. It's the largest bottler in the US, and so far everyone here is incredibly helpful. My co-workers have been a lot of fun so far, and we've had some amazing food. I look forward to everything else this city has to offer. I'll keep you updated along the way!
