A relaxing weekend

I don't know about you guys, but this summer has been absolutely non-stop for us! Don't get me wrong- it's been a blast. But it has also been exhausting. So this weekend we took it easy (for the most part at least). Friday night we went to dinner with some friends who despite living only two blocks over we hadn't seen in almost six months. (insert excuses about being too busy here) We tried out a new place called H Harper Station. If you live in the 'hood then you should really check it out. Great atmosphere, good food, and an incredibly impressive drink menu.

Saturday was for relaxing was going to be for relaxing until Bryan had to work for most of the day. We took a mid afternoon break to go watch the game at the Bell's and to celebrate Lucas' early birthday. When we got home Bry did yard work while I was lazy (oops). Then we thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday night with the Whitworths at the Darius Rucker concert. It was my first time to Chastain (crazy, right?), and let's just say I was a fan! A concert venue where you can be outside with your own food and beverage and there's plenty of dancing room?!?! Yes, please! Elizabeth and I had ourselves a good ole' time while the boys just shook their heads!

Sunday really was for relaxing. Well, except that Bryan had to work most of the day (I'll keep my comments to myself). We did find time for a nice walk, and I got plenty of trashy tv time. I also went to buy a nice big suitcase for my first big-girl-work-trip to LA next week!!! More on that later. A little r&r was much needed and it was great to be home for a bit.

This week is already off to a great start, and there's plenty more to come (dinner with Susan tonight, dinner with the neighbors tomorrow night, a pedicure with Candice on Thursday, and flex day on Friday)! Have a fabulous week!
